![]() From Idea to Realization From the top drawing to the ship below, there was an enormous amount of work, spread out many years. These slides will tell you the story.

![]() 8,000 Drawings 8,000 original drawings, and 120,000 copies were produced for the Kungsholm. The design phase commenced in 1948, and eventually, the drawings could be sent out to interested shipyards. After detailed negotiations, the ship was ordered on April 1, 1950, from the De Schelde Shipyard in Holland.
