Poul V Lange

Chief Purser Poul V Lange was of Danish nationality, and served on SAL ships for many years.
He had a laid back sense of humor, some might call it typically Danish.

Sometimes it was suggested on board that Poul V Lange had been a member of the Danish resistance forces during WWII, in British service. A photographer called him "the original James Bond". Once, when asked how he could keep his desk so clear of any documents and folders every time he left his office, Lange replied: "I was taught to do so by the FBI".

Poul V Lange passed away in 1999.
